
From 6 December 2021 until Christmas, at the Faxiflora florists that have joined the initiative, it will be possible to find the AIL Christmas Star. The association aims to promote the development of research in the field of leukemia, improve services and social health care for patients and their families during the treatment process, guaranteeing them closeness, understanding and support.
On the website www.ail.it, Italian Association against leukemia, lymphoma and myeloma, you can find the affiliated Faxiflora florist closer: with the AIL Christmas star you will be able to offer patients and families 360° assistance and support fundamental services for those fighting against leukemia, lymphoma or myeloma.
Donations will be used to support:
- home care: a service present in 42 Italian provinces and thanks to which doctors, nurses and psychologists bring therapies, medicines and support to the homes of sick people, adults and children;
- the AIL Houses: 71 in Italy, which welcome patients and family members forced to leave the city of residence for treatment;
- solidarity travel: reimbursement of travel to and from the treatment center for the patient and his companion;
- social welfare services: continuous economic support in the form of covering some expenses for basic needs, where the specific economic situations of the family make it necessary;
- support Scientific Research and scholarships for young researchers;
- support Hematology Centers, also with the donation of personal protective equipment;
- strengthen home care for adults and children, reducing hospital attendance for the most urgent cases;
- support the AIL accommodation homes, to welcome sick people and their families free of charge;
- finance socio-welfare services for families in difficulty;
- offer psychological support to patients and family members;
- bring medicines and basic necessities home to patients
Faxiflora, which has always been sensitive to the topic of scientific research and prevention, returns to collaborate with the AIL association to raise awareness among its customers towards a gesture of generosity and the awareness that a gesture can change the lives of many people for the better
